RIDE has created a search tool for students to explore academic and career opportunities in Rhode Island.

The Rhode Island Student Exploration (RISE) tool is intended for students to explore academic and career opportunities available in Rhode Island. Students can explore different pathway endorsements, career and technical education programs, college credit opportunities in high school, and all of the college majors in Rhode Island at all eleven Institutions of Higher Education.

The RISE tool is both for exploration and preparation. It is for students who want to explore their options, and it is also for students who know their interests and want to prepare for them. Our hope is that the RISE tool will make it easier for students to understand the opportunities available to them in Rhode Island and find the right path for them, all in one place.

 
 

As a high school student, the RISE tool can be used to:

  • Explore what CTE programs are available at your current high school.

  • Find dual and concurrent enrollment courses you can take to earn tuition-free college credits while in high school.

  • Explore college majors you may be interested in and find majors that are aligned with your CTE program.

  • Create a plan of which CTE program, Pathway Endorsement, and dual/concurrent enrollment classes will best prepare you for your intended college major.

As a middle school student, the RISE tool can be used to:

  • Begin exploring a high school academic and career path.

  • Explore what CTE programs are available at your future high school.

  • Prepare a plan from high school to college that aligns with your passions.

As a college student, the RISE tool can be used to:

  • Explore college majors offered at your college.

  • Look into college majors at other colleges, for those looking to transfer within Rhode Island.

  • Transfer Plans - For more information on transferring from CCRI to RIC or from CCRI to URI click here.

  • Transfer Equivalencies - Learn more about course equivalencies from CCRI, URI, and RIC  to other colleges nationwide.
